Overview

TissueQuest is a fluorescence image analysis software developed by TissueGnostics, designed for biological and clinical research applications. It supports the analysis of fluorescent markers across a range of sample types, including tissue sections, tissue microarrays (TMAs), confluent cells, and smears. The software is available both as part of the TissueGnostics platform and as a standalone application.

TissueQuest offers three core analysis modes: cell-based analysis covering nucleus, cytoplasm, and membrane compartments; stained area analysis; and small dot detection, such as for FISH applications. Context-based analysis is supported through manual definition of regions of interest (ROIs), and TMA detection and analysis can be performed on imported files.

Analysis Capabilities

  • Fluorescence image analysis across multiple sample types
  • Single cell analysis with nuclear segmentation
  • Cytoplasmic and membrane measurements
  • Total area measurements and dot detection
  • Assessment of co-expressed markers
  • 18 measured metrics per marker
  • Pseudo IHC functionality

Workflow and Usability Features

  • Streamlined workflow for image acquisition and analysis
  • Contextual image analysis via manual ROI definition
  • TMA detection and analysis on imported files
  • Image and data comparison tools

TissueQuest is developed by TissueGnostics GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria. The company focuses on whole-slide imaging and image analysis solutions for biological and clinical research, with products aimed at enabling detailed examination of tissue structure, cellular interactions, and spatial cell landscapes.
