Laby's Inventory and Supply Management module is designed for research laboratories that need to track, manage, and replenish stocks of reagents, raw materials, and other laboratory products. It provides automated tracking, traceability of product movements, and tools to support quality and procurement workflows.

The module addresses the full lifecycle of laboratory inventory — from initial stock entry and storage organisation through to consumption monitoring, aliquot creation, and supplier ordering — with the goal of ensuring product availability, reducing waste, and maintaining traceability for quality and safety purposes.

Stock Organisation and Item Management

• Items can be hierarchised and listed by family, batch, and other categories, with attached information such as supplier details, safety data sheets (MSDS), and certificates of analysis.
• Quick search across all reagents, raw materials, and organics.
• Each item receives a unique identification and an automatically generated QR code.
• Storage location is recorded alongside product references and available quantities.
• Aliquots can be created with preserved parenthood information linking them to the source material.

Quality and Compliance Controls

• Standards can be defined for storage conditions and locations, minimum and maximum quantities, and expiry dates.
• Every stock movement is traced automatically and chronologically from entry to exit.
