Overview

The VIST VR Simulation Platform, developed by Mentice, is a comprehensive virtual reality simulation ecosystem designed for image-guided interventional therapies (IGIT). Combining a proprietary anatomical software physics engine with haptic-enabled hardware, the platform supports procedural adoption, proficiency-based training, patient-specific simulation, and objective skills assessment. With over 350 development years of engineering and more than 2,000 systems delivered worldwide, VIST serves both healthcare professionals and the MedTech industry across neurovascular, cardiovascular, and peripheral vascular specialties.

The platform is built to be modular and configurable, allowing institutions and industry partners to combine simulators, training modules, accessories, extensions, integrations, and services into a tailored solution that meets their specific goals — from physician onboarding and device adoption to clinical workflow improvement and procedural efficiency.

Simulator Hardware

  • VIST® G7 and G7+: A full-featured image-guided procedural VR trainer featuring HapticRealism™ technology capable of measuring real forces, VIST® Virtual Patient support, and Mentice patent-protected technology enabling up to ten devices in parallel for advanced techniques such as bifurcation stenting, balloon-assisted coiling, and buddy wires. Supports more than 25 learning modules and is configurable, self-calibrating, self-cleaning, portable, and durable.
  • VIST® TEE Trainer: A dedicated transesophageal echocardiography training solution with haptics-enabled single-tracker support for echo probes. Features a low footprint, lightweight design, and portable one-case carry-on packaging. Can be used standalone or integrated with the G5, G7, or G7+.
  • VIST® G7 Go: A compact simulator designed to accelerate physician onboarding. Includes HapticRealism™ technology, supports real clinical devices from 0.014" up to 24F, is easy and quick to set up, features a modular design, is carry-on compatible, and provides full access to the Mentice high-fidelity VR software portfolio.
