Overview

The SOPHiA DDM™ Platform is a cutting-edge, cloud-native SaaS platform developed by SOPHiA GENETICS for the accurate analysis, standardization, and interpretation of complex healthcare data. IVDR-certified when used in diagnostic mode, the platform leverages advanced AI and machine learning algorithms to break down data silos and democratize access to anonymized real-world insights. It is designed for a broad range of healthcare professionals including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, geneticists, lab technicians, and bioinformaticians, as well as BioPharma organizations engaged in discovery, development, and deployment of diagnostics and data analytics.

At its core, SOPHiA DDM™ encompasses three specialized computational modules — for Genomics, Radiomics, and Multimodal data — enabling institutions to analyze diverse health data types within a single, universally compatible platform. The platform's AI-powered algorithms are designed to deliver best-in-class accuracy, expedited turnaround, and optimized resource utilization across clinical and research settings.

Platform Modules

  • SOPHiA DDM™ for Genomics: Uses machine learning with patented algorithms to efficiently call, annotate, and pre-classify variants from raw NGS data. Accurately detects and classifies variants from complex oncology and rare and inherited disorder data, with information from curated databases and community insights empowering confident decision-making. Covers solid tumors, hereditary cancers, blood cancers, liquid biopsy, rare disorders, and inherited disorders.
  • SOPHiA DDM™ for Radiomics: Provides novel insights through automated, validated image segmentation and feature extraction. The platform is agnostic to 3D imaging modality, equipment, and cancer indication, enabling broad applicability across radiology workflows.
  • SOPHiA DDM™ for Multimodal: Integrates longitudinal data from multiple sources and data modalities to generate new insights. Leverages SOPHiA CarePath® for enhanced data visualization, cohorting, and predictive analytics, supporting exploration of new frontiers in biology and disease.

CUMIN™ Molecular Barcoding Technology

  • Enables sensitive detection of clinically relevant variants at very low allele frequencies (below 0.01% VAF), supporting minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring.
  • Incorporates proprietary CUMIN™ unique molecular identifier (UMI) technology into sample preparation to filter out errors introduced during library preparation, target enrichment, or sequencing.
  • Combines UMI technology with deep bioinformatic expertise to accurately identify true variant alleles from complex samples.

Key Platform Capabilities

  • Best-in-class accuracy: Robust AI-powered algorithms pinpoint signals amongst noise to deliver actionable insights.
  • Expedited turnaround: A comprehensive platform enables rapid gathering and analysis of multiple data types simultaneously.
  • Accelerated adoption: SOPHiA GENETICS' expertise supports easy integration and scaling of applications within any institution.
  • Optimized resources: Scalable cloud infrastructure saves time and controls costs on data processing and storage.
  • Full data control: Institutions can generate data in-house while securely maintaining full control over their samples and data.

Technical and Compliance Attributes

  • Accurate: AI and machine learning-powered algorithms analyze, standardize, and annotate data for confident decision-making.
  • Universal: Technology-agnostic platform integrates into existing workflows, supporting diverse data types and applications.
  • Decentralized: In-house data analysis empowers institutions to maintain full control of samples and data.
  • Scalable: CPUs operate alongside powerful NVIDIA GPUs to process computationally heavy workloads, with samples run on dedicated cloud nodes.
  • Interoperable: Seamless, automated data transfer between technologies, EHR systems, LIMS, and interpretation tools for streamlined workflows.
  • Secure: HIPAA and GDPR compliant, with ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, and 27018 certifications, and IVDR certification when used in diagnostic mode.

BioPharma and Clinical Research Applications
