Scientific and Participatory Bibliography
Centralize, organize, and share scientific articles across research teams with customized collections, automatic metadata extraction, and project linking.
Overview
Scientific and Participatory Bibliography is a module within the Laby laboratory management platform designed to help research teams centralise, organise, and share scientific literature. It is intended for laboratory teams who need a shared bibliographic base to support R&D projects, enabling researchers to store, classify, and access scientific articles, journals, and publications in one place.
The module provides a customised library where teams can define their own themes and keywords to identify and group documentary sources. Publications can be linked directly to ongoing R&D projects within the laboratory, and open access consultation allows all team members to read and reference documents from a common bibliographic base.
Adding and Organising Publications
- Publications and scientific journals can be added via drag and drop.
- DOI and metadata are retrieved automatically upon import.
- A list of references and authors is generated for each document.
- Personalised collections can be created and organised by theme.
- Publications can be attached to specific R&D projects within the laboratory.
Searching and Accessing Content
- A keyword search engine with advanced filters supports quick retrieval of publications.
- A quick view displays available content such as articles and journals.
- Email notifications can be sent to facilitate access by other researchers in the team.
Related Laby Platform Modules
- Electronic laboratory notebook for logging experiments, files, and analyses.
- Inventory and supply management for traceability of items, batches, products, and supplies.
- Equipment and maintenance management for instruments used in the laboratory.
- Timesheet tracking for time distribution across projects and administrative reporting.
- Digital signature for protecting innovations by recording data anteriority via a trusted third party.
The Scientific and Participatory Bibliography module is part of Laby's broader suite of laboratory management tools. It functions as a collaborative resource, supporting knowledge sharing and contributing to the progression of laboratory projects across teams.
