Overview
Equipment and Maintenance Monitoring is a module within the Laby laboratory management platform designed to help research and development teams track, manage, and maintain laboratory instruments. It is aimed at R&D laboratories that need to ensure equipment quality, compliance, and reliable traceability of results.
The module covers four core areas: maintaining an equipment inventory, monitoring and scheduling maintenance activities, planning and booking instrument usage, and automatically recording which instruments are used in experiments and sample analyses.
Equipment Inventory and Dashboard
- Provides a synthetic dashboard for monitoring the status of laboratory equipment.
- Lists accessible and functional equipment along with associated documents and intervention records.
- Generates QR codes for each instrument or equipment group, allowing direct access to the equipment sheet by scanning the code.
- Centralises all types of information for each piece of equipment, including user manuals, intervention reports, service provider details, and invoices.
Maintenance Management
- Supports management of both preventive and curative (corrective) interventions.
- Provides automatic scheduling of preventive maintenance based on defined periods.
- Displays planned or pending maintenance tasks and the individuals responsible for follow-up.
- Sends alerts to the relevant managers when maintenance actions are due.
Planning, Booking, and Traceability
- Allows users to book instrument usage within the laboratory and view the entire team's schedule in real time.
- Automatically monitors and records which equipment is used in the preparation and analysis of samples, linking instruments to specific experiments.
- Supports end-to-end traceability of results by connecting equipment records to experimental data.
