Overview

The Nio® Digital PCR lineup represents the next advancement in digital PCR technology, offering versatile and comprehensive all-in-one instruments suitable for a broad range of laboratory throughput needs. These highly automated systems are renowned for their ease of use and speed and are designed to accommodate processing needs from small to large volume labs.

The core technology, known as Crystal Digital PCR®, partitions samples into numerous droplet crystals, each serving as an isolated reaction compartment. Nucleic acid amplification occurs within these compartments with each reaction tagged using fluorescence, allowing for multi-channel detection across up to seven light channels.

For labs handling hundreds of samples daily or requiring highly multiplexed experiments, these systems facilitate efficient workflows with their ability to quantify up to 21 targets in a single assay using Long-Shift Red technology. This capability saves both time and sample volume, enhancing productivity.

Key Features:

  • Supports detection and quantification of up to 21 targets simultaneously using seven fluorescent signatures.
  • AI-enhanced quality controls through Nio® Reader and Analyzer software for comprehensive drop analysis and concentration measurement.
  • Capability to export raw experiment details with insights displayed on 1D, 2D, and 3D dot plots, adhering to 21 CFR Part 11 compliance if required.

Offering flexibility, the system includes Nio® E for basic throughput with sequential 48-sample processing, Nio® for medium throughput with simultaneous 192-sample capability, and Nio®+ for high throughput, managing up to 384 samples per workday.

Automation is seamlessly integrated with standard SBS Ruby Chip Plates that fit existing liquid handling systems like Hamilton and Tecan, facilitating ease of use with manual options also available.

The all-in-one operational structure negates the need for oil, plate transfer, or complex setup—simply add samples, mix, and press play. The systems' compact design ensures suitability even in space-constrained labs, enhancing functionality and efficiency.
