Maestro Z
Live-cell analysis system monitoring cell proliferation, viability, and interactions continuously without labels.
Overview
Maestro Z is a sophisticated live-cell analysis system from Axion BioSystems, designed for impedance-based cell monitoring in real-time. It allows for continuous, label-free assessment of cell proliferation, viability, and morphology, as well as immune cell-mediated killing, without requiring repeated endpoint assays. This facilitates a deeper understanding of cell-cell interactions and drug responses.
The platform includes a new smartphone app, providing remote experiment monitoring. This feature ensures that users can oversee the progress of their assays from outside the laboratory.
Key Features
- Real-time Analysis: Provides noninvasive electrical measurements of cell populations, maintaining accuracy without disrupting cell models.
- Smart Environmental Control: An integrated chamber finely controls temperature and CO₂ levels, optimizing conditions without additional equipment.
- Multiple Plate Monitoring: Capable of simultaneously recording live data from up to 96 wells, enhancing throughput and data richness.
- Easy Setup: A single button begins the assay process, automatically adjusting conditions and tracking plate usage via barcode scanning.
Maestro Z’s cell monitoring capabilities are enhanced by transparent CytoView-Z 96-well plates, allowing clear visualization and assay multiplexing. Additionally, the AxIS Z software simplifies the experimental process from setup through analysis.
The system is compatible with software modules such as Impedance and GxP Impedance, suitable for various assays, including immuno-oncology, cytotoxicity, and virology. It also supports compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations for GMP/GLP labs.
For advanced research, Maestro Z can integrate with the Omni and Omni Pro 12 systems, expanding functionality with whole-plate imaging. This cross-platform compatibility provides vital insights into culture health and electrode coverage, assisting researchers in maintaining consistent, high-quality results.
Maestro Z is applicable in numerous research areas, such as evaluating monoclonal antibody efficacy, assessing antiviral test compound effects, monitoring cell migration, and studying tumor biology. It enables comprehensive cellular analysis, supporting diverse experimental needs in life sciences.
