Overview

Innovative Microplate Lids significantly enhance data quality by minimizing edge effects during assays and storage. These patented lids are both reusable and autoclavable, making them suitable for repeated laboratory use. They are constructed from stainless steel with a rubber gasket that forms a secure barrier around the microplate, effectively eliminating edge effects.

Designed for integration with Wako Automation's robotic systems, these lids are compatible with automated carousels, cellular incubators, and lidding/delidding stations. Two main types of lids are available:

  • Cellular Assay Lids: Feature small, evenly distributed holes to permit necessary gas exchange and even control of temperature and humidity, essential for cellular assays.
  • Compound Lids: Designed without holes to prevent gas exchange, ideal for biochemical assays and temporary compound storage.

In addition to specific Wako Automation equipment, generic-use lids are available, offering lighter and more compact designs that fit a wider range of laboratory instruments like hotels, carousels, and incubators.

These lids are compatible with standard SBS format 96, 384, and 1536 well plates, proving particularly beneficial for multi-day cell-based assays by enhancing data reliability and quality through significant reduction in edge-related anomalies.
