Impedance Automation Module
Enables automation of impedance assays by integrating with liquid handling and robotic platforms using a flexible API.
Overview
The Impedance Automation Module is designed for use with Maestro Pro, Maestro Edge, Maestro Z, and Maestro ZHT systems, providing an API for integration with third-party systems like liquid handlers. This module automates a variety of experiments, including those that measure cell proliferation, viability, morphology, immune cell-mediated killing, and viral cytopathic effects. It enables increased throughput by linking multiple Maestro Z systems with existing robotic platforms.
Key Features
- Use current liquid handling systems for automating Maestro assays.
- The AxIS Z API supports programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, Visual Basic, and MATLAB, allowing it to work with various robotic platforms.
- Functions include door operation, plate docking, Maestro status queries, temperature and CO2 level adjustments, experiment data storage, baseline measurement, plate mapping, and result exporting.
By integrating the Impedance Automation Module with robotic liquid handling systems, users can efficiently conduct impedance-based assays, such as plating cells, maintaining them, and administering doses when necessary. The API facilitates the movement of plates in and out of the Maestro systems, captures data, and exports results.
Related Applications
- Evaluating antiviral effects of compounds by monitoring cytopathic effects.
- Monitoring cell barrier integrity using TEER assays.
- Tracking cellular growth to gain insights into cell health and behavior.
- Measuring GPCR cell signaling dynamics in a label-free manner over extended durations.
- Assessing cell viability and cytotoxicity of compounds under various exposure conditions.
- Evaluating immune cell killing kinetics at physiologically relevant effector-to-target cell ratios.
