Impedance Automation Module
Automates assays using an API to connect with liquid handling systems for increased throughput and efficiency.
Overview
The Impedance Automation Module integrates with Maestro Pro, Maestro Edge, Maestro Z, and Maestro ZHT to provide an API through AxIS Z for interfacing with third-party systems such as liquid handlers. This setup allows for the automation of experiments that assess cell proliferation, viability, morphology, immune cell responses, and viral cytopathic effects, among others. By connecting with your existing robotic platforms, it enhances throughput and efficiency.
Key Features:
- Compatible with various programming languages including C#, C++, Python, Visual Basic, MATLAB, and more, allowing flexible integration with different robotic systems.
- Facilitates a wide range of functions:
- Open and close door operations
- Dock and undock plates
- Query Maestro status
- Set and monitor temperature and CO2 levels
- Store experimental data
- Measure baselines
- Load plate maps and export experimental results
Use your existing liquid handling systems to manage plating of cells in the CytoView-Z plate, maintain cell cultures, and administer doses as needed. The module allows for plates to be transported within the Maestro system, data acquisition, and seamless export of results.
Applications:
- Assessing antiviral activity by monitoring real-time cytopathic changes.
- Evaluating cell barrier integrity using TEER assays.
- Tracking cell growth to analyze cell health and behavior.
- Examining GPCR cell signaling dynamics over time without labels.
- Testing cell viability and cytotoxicity in acute and chronic settings.
- Studying immune cell killing kinetics under physiological conditions.
