Overview

The FlowWeb OPC Controller is designed to enhance bioprocess technology and control by integrating data from various analytical instruments into existing DCS/SCADA systems. It is suitable for networking single bioreactor systems, entire PD labs, or multiple labs and suites. The controller supports any OPC-enabled process management system, facilitating seamless data acquisition and integration from online, at-line, and offline analytical instruments.

Data is exported to any OPC-enabled DCS/SCADA system or data historian, with web-based OPC communication that can be established across any network without the need for additional servers. Some external devices can also be remotely controlled.

FlowWeb OPC Server Product Description

The FlowWeb OPC Controller requires the FlowWeb OPC Server Software, which acts as a bridge in OPC-enabled systems. This software responds to requests and provides data to OPC clients, connecting to hardware to send commands or receive data. In systems where both applications are OPC servers, a thin client OPC client is used to connect them, requesting data from one server and sending it to the other.
