A compact bioprocessing system for labs in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and food industries, offering flexible and scalable bioreactor solutions with integrated real-time process monitoring and AI-based control.
Overview
The BioSIP Series is engineered for intelligent bioprocessing in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and food industry laboratories. It features the Biobook Compact Controllers, designed to streamline research and development, reduce validation times, and facilitate transitions from the lab to pilot scale.
Key Features
- Plug-and-play simplicity: These systems are preconfigured, pre-validated, and ready to use, eliminating complex setup procedures.
- Smart-BioFlex™ software: This intuitive and powerful software anticipates and prevents process deviations in real time, granting users full control and flexibility.
- Versatile applications: Suitable for microbial, mammalian, plant, and synthetic workflows.
- Scalable design: Enables process scaling from 300 mL to 15 L without platform changes.
- GMP-ready pathways: Incorporates compliance options without additional upgrades.
- Dual-reactor configuration: Facilitates optimized outcomes by allowing simultaneous experiments.
- AI-based control: Utilizes predictive automation to maintain optimal growth conditions, minimizing manual intervention.
The system supports a variety of agitation types and vessel materials, from jacketed glass to stainless steel or single-use options. Its sensor suite includes measurements for pH, DO, temperature, ORP, foam, level, biomass (NIR), dissolved CO₂, and conductivity, with temperature control ranging from +4°C to +80°C. Gas control is handled via MFCs or rotameters for various gases.
The automation and software features include real-time monitoring, remote access, data logging, and integration capabilities with protocols like OPC-UA and Modbus. Online analysis is also robust, covering cell viability, off-gas analysis, and other configurable analytes.
User-Friendly Design
Designed with user experience in mind, the BioSIP Series ensures ease of use, reproducibility, and adaptability. It includes international service options and proactive maintenance, making it suitable for university labs, biotech startups, and industrial R&D teams. The bioreactors are biosafety cabinet-friendly and support multiple formats out-of-the-box.
