Biolucida Medical Education
Interactive software for viewing, managing, and sharing image stacks and 2D/3D whole-slide images, simulating microscopy for medical education.
Overview
Biolucida Medical Education is an interactive learning software designed to simulate the experience of using a microscope that focuses through Z. Developed with input from leading medical educators, it enables the viewing, management, and sharing of image stacks and 2D & 3D whole-slide images, bringing enhanced, dynamic content to educators and students alike.
Traditionally, medical educators have turned to virtual slides instead of microscopes for teaching histology and histopathology. Biolucida alleviates common difficulties in acquiring and distributing these slides, allowing clear and efficient access even in large classes.
