Bio-Formats is an extensive scientific image translation library that provides support for more than 160 image file formats. It is designed to cater to a wide array of imaging domains, such as brightfield and fluorescence, as well as 3-D cell division with color and time-lapse analysis.

How it Works

This library is implemented in Java and significantly broadens your imaging analysis capabilities. It effectively converts image metadata into a common model, facilitating accessibility across various analysis software. Bio-Formats offers direct integration with popular image analysis tools, including ImageJ, MATLAB®, Imaris®, and CellProfiler®, among others.
