Overview

The Accellix Software is part of an automated flow cytometry platform designed for cell phenotyping and quality control analytics. It is widely used by immunotherapy companies for its ability to standardize and streamline the cytometry of cell therapy drug products.

The platform features a small footprint, bench-top design that is compatible with manufacturing suites due to its fan-less operation. It offers simple plug-and-play installation, requires minimal maintenance, and does not need calibration. Users can set up and be trained to operate the system in just one hour.

The Accellix Instrument utilizes a microfluidic cartridge with ambient-stable reagents, making it portable and easy to use. It covers a fluorescence detection range of 510-800 nm and includes in-run compensation for spectral spillover, eliminating the need for operator calibration.

The Accellix Software provides a user-friendly interface with algorithm-based autoanalysis tools that compute test results automatically at the end of each run. This automation enhances reproducibility, removes subjectivity, and simplifies system operation. The software automatically defines cell subsets and reports cell population frequencies, displaying results on-screen.

  • Touchscreen interface with customizable features
  • On-board computer executes protocols
  • Delivers both automated results and raw data for manual analysis
  • Ensures traceability and is compatible with 21 CFR part 11
  • Automatically connects to customer databases via LIMS or similar networks

The platform employs spectral flow cytometry, using a single 488 nm laser diode and a multichannel silicon photomultiplier detector array. This setup simplifies the system and ensures stability and alignment across platforms. Spectral flow cytometry allows for the simultaneous analysis of multiple parameters in a single experiment, offering advantages such as stable fluorescence detection, no need for calibration or compensation, and automatic spectral unmixing.

The Accellix Platform supports single-use, cartridge-based assays with fluidics contained within the cartridge, minimizing sample handling. It allows for ambient temperature storage and includes control beads in a dried formulation for in-run quality control and cell counting. Each cartridge is equipped with a QR code that contains all necessary information to run the assay.
