Tempus Pixel (Therapy Response, Lung, Breast, Cardio, Prostate)
AI-enabled medical image analysis for automated lesion detection, quantification, and therapy response evaluation across oncology, lung, breast, cardio, and prostate imaging.
Overview
Tempus Pixel is a suite of AI-enabled radiology solutions developed by Tempus to generate actionable insights from medical images, helping providers make more informed diagnostic and treatment decisions. The platform serves both oncologists and radiologists across multiple clinical use cases, including therapy response evaluation, lung nodule assessment, breast cancer screening, cardiac analysis, and prostate cancer detection. With a footprint spanning more than 100 health systems and a foundation built on over 2 billion radiology images, Tempus Pixel is designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy, improve workflow efficiency, and support consistent reporting across the care continuum.
Tempus Pixel is offered in two primary configurations: Pixel for Oncology, tailored for oncologists monitoring disease progression, and Pixel for Radiology, optimized for radiologists reading images, detecting findings, generating reports, and sharing insights with referring physicians.
Pixel for Oncology — Key Capabilities
- Automated quantification: Segments and measures lesions of interest, providing accurate contours along with long axis and short axis measurements.
- Automated tracking: Links lesions across multiple time points to create longitudinal tracking reports and automatically calculate lesion response over time.
- Automated reporting: Automates therapy response criteria such as RECIST and generates a comprehensive report that can be linked to the patient record in the EMR or in Tempus Hub.
Pixel for Radiology — Key Capabilities
- Automated image analysis: Enables one-click segmentation of lesions on CT and MR images, streamlining the image review process.
- Automated reporting: Generates reports based on AI analysis that can be configured and customized for a more efficient workflow, helping to reduce turnaround time and improve reporting consistency.
- Seamless integration: Easily integrates AI-enabled tools with existing PACS, EHR, worklist, notification, and dictation systems to optimize clinical workflows.
Clinical Use Cases Across the Care Continuum
- Therapy Response Evaluation: Provides automated measurements and longitudinal tracking to aid providers in efficiently evaluating lesion changes over time.
- Tempus Pixel Lung: Delivers tools that automate detection, quantification, and longitudinal tracking of pulmonary nodules to support accurate and consistent assessments, powered by chest CT images. FDA-cleared in the U.S. and CE-marked in the EU for detection and quantification of nodules.
- Tempus Pixel Breast: Offers AI-enabled tools to help improve screening, detection, and longitudinal tracking of lesions suspected of breast cancer, powered by 2D and 3D breast images. FDA-cleared and CE-marked, with lesion detection powered by iCAD's ProFound AI.
- Tempus Pixel Cardio: Increases productivity and saves time in diagnosing a wide range of heart conditions through fast, automated, and repeatable analysis powered by cardiac MR images. FDA-cleared.
- Tempus Pixel Prostate: An AI-enabled solution trained with pathology data to detect suspicious lesions for clinically significant prostate cancer, improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in aggressive prostate cancer detection. FDA-cleared and CE-marked, with lesion detection and risk classification powered by Quibim's QP-Prostate® CAD.
