Reviewer EDC
Electronic data capture integrated with eSource for real-time remote monitoring, query management, and automated data flow.
Overview
Reviewer EDC is an electronic data capture (EDC) solution from CRIO that is built directly into the CRIO eSource platform. It is designed for clinical research sites and sponsors who want automated, real-time data flow between eSource and EDC systems without requiring separate tools or manual data transfer steps.
Because Reviewer EDC is integrated into CRIO's Central eSource from the start, both systems are accessible from the same platform. For teams that prefer to continue using an existing EDC system, CRIO also offers pre-built integrations with widely adopted third-party EDC solutions, as well as an open API for connecting with additional partners.
Source Data Review and Visit Management
- Supports full source data review within the platform
- Allows monitors to issue and close queries in real time
- Enables visits to be marked as reviewed and continuously locked
- Collects contemporaneous principal investigator (PI) signatures to support faster data lock
Medical Coding
- Includes built-in WHODrug and MedDRA (Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities) dictionaries
- Provides coding and review workflows within the platform
- Supports auto-cueing through an embedded medication list available at the point of data capture
PDF File Review
- Supports review of uploaded PDF files, including executed eConsent forms and electronic medical records
- Allows users to review, query, and lock uploaded PDF documents
Data Extraction and Submission
- Supports on-demand data extraction as well as prescheduled extraction
- Supports end-of-study data submission
For sites or sponsors not using Reviewer EDC directly, CRIO's open API allows integration with EDC solutions beyond its existing pre-built partners, enabling flexible data management configurations across different study setups.
