Orchestrate Identity Lite

Identity Lite is a patient record matching tool from CareEvolution, built on the same privacy-preserving record linking (PPRL) technology as CareEvolution's full-scale Identity API. It is designed for smaller patient populations of fewer than 100,000 patients and is accessible without the complexity of a large-scale integration. Identity Lite is part of the broader Orchestrate suite of healthcare data APIs.

The matching process works in two steps: first, demographic data is hashed and blinded using an irreversible cryptographic hash operation; second, the blinded data is used for matching. No hashed or unhashed data is retained after the process, supporting compliant handling of patient information.

• Simple user experience: Patient records can be matched through a web interface or via a command line, depending on the volume of records being processed.
• Usage-based pricing: Pricing is based on actual usage rather than a fixed subscription model.
• Patient data is blinded: All matching operations use cryptographically hashed values, meaning raw demographic data is never exposed during the matching process. No data is stored after matching.

Workflow Steps

1. Hash and blind the patient data: Demographic data undergoes an irreversible cryptographic hash operation before any matching takes place.
2. Match the blinded patient data: Matching is performed exclusively on the hashed values, ensuring the underlying patient data is never directly used or exposed.

Both Identity Lite and the full Identity API are designed to support compliant patient data matching using PPRL technology.
