Label Wizard

Label Wizard is an add-on for the Labguru ELN/LIMS platform designed to help laboratory teams generate, print, and manage custom labels for samples, supplies, reagents, and equipment. By combining QR code and barcode functionality with reusable label templates, it enables labs to standardize their labeling systems and digitize key aspects of lab management — from sample tracking and storage organization to inventory control and equipment management.

It integrates directly with Labguru, allowing users to scan items straight into experiment records rather than filling in fields by hand.

How Label Wizard Works

1. Access the Label Wizard from a stock, plate, box, or equipment page within Labguru.
2. Select a pre-made template or create a fully custom label template.
3. Add details such as item name, owner, catalog number, and your organization's logo.
4. Add a QR code or barcode to the label.
5. Print the label and reuse the template as needed to standardize labeling across the lab. Multiple labels can be printed at once by selecting several items.
6. Scan barcodes to quickly add items to experiments, or scan QR codes with a mobile phone to identify and view their corresponding Labguru pages.

QR Codes and Barcodes

• QR Codes: Add QR codes containing item page URLs to labels and scan with a mobile phone to view or update item information directly in Labguru.
• Barcodes: Add barcodes to labels to rapidly add samples, reagents, and equipment to experiments. Compatible with any scanner or handheld device capable of reading barcode code 128.

Label Wizard is available as an add-on to the Labguru suite, extending the platform's ELN/LIMS capabilities to cover the full lifecycle of lab material management.
