Lab Processes by ATGC Labs is a comprehensive laboratory workflow management platform designed for chemists, physicists, biologists, and other scientists who need to conduct a wide variety of tests and experiments. The system is built to design, implement, and run business processes, delivering operational efficiency and enabling laboratories to conduct business at lower cost. Lab Processes includes both a core workflow engine and an Animal Studies module, making it suitable for a broad range of life science research and production environments.

Lab Processes is a lightweight, user-friendly program for managing and executing process tasks with synchronous and asynchronous continuations. It uses event listeners to decouple technical software details from instrument management, and is capable of cloning processes with only minor modifications needed to reflect user requirements. Production and QC data for each experiment are disseminated into all pertinent fields in real time as laboratory data is generated, with inventory and instrument data linked to each experiment by a human or electronic component.

Animal Studies Module

The Animal Studies module is a comprehensive application specially designed for biologists and chemists who need to conduct a wide variety of tests and experiments on animals. It stores and handles three classes of information: animal growth, phenotype screening, and genotype analysis. The module is web-based, completely customizable, and requires minimal computing skills. Genetic and physiological data can be entered either manually or automatically when automated genotyping and analytical phenotypic assays are used. The module stores genotype information, genotyping protocols, and genetic marker information — including PCR conditions and results from polymorphism assays between strains — as well as SNP data and trait measurements for each animal in the study. Statistical analyses can be performed by exporting information for subsequent processing.
