Connector Module

The Connector module is a component of the Grand Avenue quality management platform that enables data exchange between Grand Avenue and external systems through RESTful API integrations. It is designed for life sciences and quality-focused organizations that need to connect their QMS with PLM, ERP, CRM, or business intelligence tools, and want to automate data flows rather than rely on manual transfers.

The module operates through two core API functions: a Read API for pulling data out of Grand Avenue into external tools, and a Write API for pushing data from external systems into Grand Avenue. It also supports OData for reporting and BI integration, allowing organizations to combine quality system data with other business data sources for broader analysis and decision-making.

Read API — Data Export

• Pulls live quality data from Grand Avenue into dashboards, reports, and data warehouses
• Supports retrieval from modules including CAPA, training records, complaints, nonconformances, issues, and audit findings
• Enables visibility into metrics such as document control status, training compliance, and change requests
• Allows import of audit findings, CAPA progress, complaint metrics, and training records into external reporting or analytics tools
• Supports export of audit logs, CAPA actions, training histories, complaint metrics, and equipment maintenance records

Write API — Data Import

• Pushes data into Grand Avenue from connected PLM, ERP, or CRM systems
• Automates the creation of records within Grand Avenue
• Supports syncing of parts, suppliers, customers, and related data
• Enables a continuous flow of information between compliance and business systems

How the Connector Works

1. External systems connect to Grand Avenue via the RESTful API endpoints
2. Read API calls export quality system information to external data warehouses, BI tools, or dashboards
3. Write API calls allow external applications to create or update information within a Grand Avenue instance
4. Data from Grand Avenue can be combined with other business data sources for enhanced reporting and analysis

The Connector module supports integration with a range of third-party platforms including PLMs, ERPs, BI tools, and data warehouses.
