AniBio Aquatic
Data management and traceability for aquatic research facilities, including breeding, transgenic lines, batch tracking, and water parameter monitoring.
Overview
AniBio Aquatic is a specialist animal research software developed by NorayBio for research centres that work with aquatic models. It is designed to improve and streamline the management of core activities and the recording of data generated within aquatic research facilities, providing full traceability across animals, batches, and experimental procedures.
The platform supports 100% configurable user profiles, making it suitable for a range of roles within a research centre, including responsible persons, researchers, and technicians. Each profile can be tailored to reflect the specific tasks and access levels required by different members of the team.
Animal Management Capabilities
- Order management: Request and track new batch orders directly within AniBio Aquatic.
- Breeding traceability: Maintain full historical traceability of the genogram and pedigree of breeding programmes, including generational tracking.
- Transgenic line management: Create and associate transgenic lines, genes, and genotypes to different batches.
- Batch passport: Centralise all relevant batch information into a single printable document for easy reference and sharing.
- Batch traceability: Automatically generate a unique code per batch and maintain a complete batch history.
- Experimental activity recording: Create configurable templates to record procedures performed on animals.
- System administration: Configure the various elements and menus used within the application to suit facility-specific workflows.
Facility Management Capabilities
- Define and manage the structure of the animal facility.
- Conduct and record room and tank reviews.
- Log and track incidents within the facility.
- Monitor water parameters to ensure appropriate aquatic conditions are maintained.
Role-Based Functionality
- Responsible person: Project supervision, data standardisation, legislative compliance and reporting, user and competence management, staff registration and management, communication with other profiles, and system administration.
- Researcher: Submit requests to the animal facility for animals and services, consult animal records and procedures, and maintain data confidentiality.
- Technician: Manage alerts and incidents, print labels, communicate with other profiles, oversee breeding management, and handle animal allocation.
AniBio Aquatic is available as part of the NorayBio Software Platform, which can be downloaded directly. The solution is built to support research centres in standardising data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling seamless communication across all roles involved in aquatic research.
