UCB has successfully implemented the Veeva Safety Suite, marking a significant advancement in its global safety operations through a collaboration with ELIQUENT Life Sciences, Pinnaxis, and Daelight Solutions.
The Veeva Safety Suite, which includes tools like Veeva Safety, SafetyDocs, Safety Signal, and Safety Workbench, offers a comprehensive solution for pharmacovigilance. This transition to a unified, cloud-based platform enhances UCB's case processing, signal detection, and reporting capabilities, streamlining their safety operations on an enterprise scale.
Key stakeholders emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving this transformation. Adrian Maynier from UCB highlighted how the partnership with ELIQUENT, Pinnaxis, and Daelight Solutions facilitated a seamless integration process, leveraging their expertise to enhance UCB’s existing capabilities. This project involved migrating a substantial amount of data, including 14 million documents and 80 million records, demonstrating the complexity and scale of the undertaking.
This initiative signifies a broader trend within the life sciences industry towards modernizing safety operations through advanced, cloud-based solutions. By consolidating safety processes, organizations like UCB can enhance operational efficiency and derive greater insights from their pharmacovigilance data. As the industry moves forward, such transformations are likely to play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and facilitating automation in safety management.
