TrueLab Biopharmaceutical has entered into a significant licensing agreement with Bionyra Pharma, granting Bionyra exclusive rights to develop and commercialize two innovative antibodies aimed at treating immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. The deal could be worth up to $985 million, including milestone payments and royalties.
This collaboration centers on TL-001, an anti-TL1A monoclonal antibody, and TL-003, a bispecific antibody targeting TL1A and IL-23. Bionyra is now positioned to advance these therapies, which are seen as potentially transformative for conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The agreement also allows Bionyra to explore additional preclinical programs from TrueLab.
Bionyra recently secured $165 million in Series A financing to support its initiatives, co-led by notable investors such as Jeito Capital and Sofinnova Partners. Both companies expressed enthusiasm about their partnership, emphasizing the capabilities of TrueLab's AI-powered TrueForge™ platform, which integrates advanced antibody engineering and data-driven technologies to enhance drug discovery.
