The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital have partnered with SigmaMozak Solutions to enhance medical training through AI technology.
This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to create a framework for interdisciplinary efforts in healthcare research, digital health, and medical education. The agreement was signed by SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda and SigmaMozak Solutions Co-founder and CEO Shweta Sharma.
Key initiatives will include the development of AI-enabled healthcare communication systems and patient engagement tools. The partnership recognizes the critical role of academia-industry collaborations in advancing healthcare technology and education, focusing on projects like healthcare analytics and behavioral health initiatives.
The inaugural project will introduce ConversationAIly, an AI-driven platform aimed at enhancing communication skills among undergraduate medical students. This platform seeks to standardize training in line with the National Medical Commission’s AETCOM module, addressing current limitations in teaching methods and evaluation. By facilitating simulated patient interactions, the initiative promises to make communication training more structured and evidence-based, ultimately enriching patient-centered medical education.
This collaboration not only enhances the educational framework but also signifies a shift towards integrating AI in medical training, paving the way for innovative approaches in clinical communication and healthcare delivery.
