Rhythm AI has appointed Mike Dineen as its new CEO, aiming to enhance its commercial presence in the atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment space.

With over three decades of experience in the MedTech sector, Dineen is set to lead Rhythm AI through a critical phase of U.S. clinical and commercial expansion. He joins the company following the recent FDA 510(k) clearance of its STAR Apollo Mapping System, which integrates with leading 3D mapping platforms. This compatibility is expected to facilitate a broader rollout, enabling physicians to create more effective ablation strategies by providing detailed, patient-specific maps of AF origins.

Professor Richard Schilling, the Founder and Chairman of Rhythm AI, emphasized Dineen's extensive cardiovascular expertise and commercial acumen as vital assets during this transformative period. Dineen's previous roles include leading Tioga Cardiovascular and Kalila Medical, where he successfully navigated products from development to market launch and acquisition.

In his new role, Dineen aims to accelerate the adoption of STAR Apollo, focusing on generating clinical evidence to support its integration into electrophysiology labs globally. He recognizes the technology's potential to significantly improve AF treatment outcomes, stating that building strategic partnerships will be crucial for delivering this innovation to the healthcare community.
