Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is set to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, aimed at enhancing its operational capabilities and solidifying its presence in India.

The GCC, expected to be operational by the second half of 2026, will create hundreds of jobs and support various global business functions related to drug development and operations. This move reflects Regeneron’s commitment to advancing science-driven medicine across multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology and immunology.

Hyderabad's growing reputation as a hub for global capability centres is bolstered by its robust talent pool and existing infrastructure in biotechnology and digital technologies. Currently, the city is home to over 450 GCCs, making it an attractive location for multinational companies in the life sciences sector.

This new facility builds on Regeneron's prior expansion into India, which began with operations in Bengaluru in 2022. The establishment of the Hyderabad GCC signals Regeneron’s strategic focus on leveraging India’s research ecosystem and skilled workforce to enhance its global operations in the healthcare sector.

As the company gradually scales its operations, the GCC is poised to contribute significantly to the burgeoning landscape of healthcare and biotechnology in India, reflecting the increasing trend of multinational firms seeking to establish research and analytics hubs in the region.
