nPhase has successfully secured $30 million in a Series D funding round to enhance its AI-driven clinical data platform, nPhase.ai, which aims to streamline the clinical data lifecycle from study initiation to regulatory submission.

The latest financing, spearheaded by Viking Global Investors, is nPhase's first since 2017. The funding will facilitate the expansion of the platform's capabilities, particularly its agentic AI features that aim to transform data management into intelligent workflows. CEO Scott Climes emphasized that this investment will help accelerate the delivery of life-saving therapeutics to patients.

Launched in September, the nPhase.ai platform is designed to aggregate and validate clinical trial data from diverse sources, providing teams with near real-time insights into safety and operational metrics. This innovative approach is intended to significantly shorten submission timelines, potentially reducing them from months to weeks while ensuring that human oversight remains integral to decision-making processes.

Founded in 2014, nPhase has also developed REDCap Cloud, an electronic data capture tool utilized by research institutions through a partnership with Vanderbilt University. This latest funding round underscores the increasing importance of AI in clinical research and the urgency to enhance data management capabilities in the industry.
