Noul has unveiled promising results for its AI-driven blood analysis system, miLab BCM, at the 2026 European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress in Stockholm, Sweden.

The research, conducted by the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Asan Medical Center, assessed the efficacy of miLab BCM by comparing its outputs with those from conventional automated hematology analyzers and expert microscopic evaluations. The findings revealed a remarkable correlation coefficient exceeding 0.97 for critical complete blood count (CBC) parameters, such as red blood cell count and hemoglobin levels. Furthermore, the system exhibited superior alignment with expert assessments for lymphocyte and monocyte analyses.

Significantly, miLab BCM achieved a negative predictive value of 96% for blast cell screening, a vital component in diagnosing hematologic malignancies. This capability suggests that the platform could effectively identify normal samples at the point of care, potentially minimizing the need for further microscopic evaluations.

Noul's presentation at EHA 2026 included a research abstract in the congress's scientific library, alongside showcasing the miLab BCM system. The event facilitated discussions with healthcare professionals and potential partners from over 30 countries, highlighting the platform's potential impact in the European healthcare landscape. Noul's CEO, Lim Chan-yang, emphasized the importance of the EHA Congress as a venue for introducing innovative AI-based technologies and exploring collaboration opportunities with European medical experts.

This development underscores the growing integration of AI in diagnostic processes, which could streamline workflows and enhance the accuracy of hematologic assessments, setting a new standard for point-of-care testing in the field.
