
Northwestern Medicine has partnered with Vizlitics to enhance cancer clinical trial recruitment and manage real-world data through advanced AI tools.
This collaboration leverages Northwestern Medicine's oncology expertise and Vizlitics' AI capabilities to address the complexities of clinical trial participation, which has been hindered by fragmented data systems and manual processes. With support from a National Institute of Health (NIH) SBIR Phase II contract, the partnership has successfully activated Vizlitics’ Clinical Trial and Real World Data products, aiming to improve patient trial matching and streamline research operations.
The AI platform developed by Vizlitics curates longitudinal patient data and automatically pre-screens candidates for clinical trial eligibility by extracting structured information from various unstructured records. This innovative approach not only enhances operational efficiency but also ensures that over 95% of patients are screened prior to consultations, thus facilitating access to clinical trials and generating structured clinical data for research.
