Nexalin Technology has expanded its capabilities by acquiring the digital health platform PONM, aiming to enhance its AI-driven neurostimulation initiatives, particularly the HALO™ Clarity program.

This acquisition allows Nexalin to integrate essential remote-monitoring and clinical-data infrastructure, which is currently utilized at the University of California, San Diego. The platform facilitates remote patient monitoring, compliance tracking, and physician oversight, crucial for the upcoming FDA pivotal trial of HALO™ Clarity, targeting moderate-to-severe insomnia.

The move reflects a growing trend in medical device development, where companies are merging hardware with integrated software solutions to improve patient adherence and streamline regulatory processes. Nexalin's acquisition underscores the importance of operational control over monitoring systems, especially for at-home treatment models, which are increasingly favored by both regulators and healthcare providers.

With the platform's AI capabilities, Nexalin aims to enhance its neurostimulation programs outside traditional clinical environments. This strategic acquisition also strengthens its partnership with GreenLight Ventures, which will continue providing support in various operational areas. Valued at $1.3 million, the deal emphasizes the significance of building integrated care ecosystems that combine technology with patient engagement, particularly in the realm of neurological and behavioral health therapies.
