Mankind Pharma has partnered with Armenian startup Denovo Sciences to implement an AI-driven drug discovery initiative.
This collaboration aims to merge Mankind's extensive research and development capabilities with Denovo's advanced AI platform, which focuses on molecular generation and prioritization. The partnership will employ a human-in-the-loop approach, where AI will generate and assess molecular candidates, while experts will oversee, validate, and refine these results throughout the process.
The initiative targets three primary objectives: shortening early drug discovery timelines, enhancing the quality of lead candidates, and ensuring that only the most promising candidates proceed to further development. By leveraging computational techniques early in the discovery phase, the partners hope to minimize the resources allocated to less viable candidates, ultimately speeding up the delivery of effective therapies to patients.
Arjun Juneja, COO of Mankind Pharma, emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration, stating that it seeks to harness cutting-edge technology to make drug discovery more efficient and reliable.
