Lucent Diagnostics has partnered with Tempus AI to enhance access to blood biomarker testing for Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S.
This collaboration aims to integrate LucentAD® Complete, a blood-based biomarker panel, into Tempus's clinical workflows. Tempus AI will develop a specialized care gap program that allows neurologists to order this test directly through their platform, thereby streamlining the diagnostic process for Alzheimer’s patients.
Currently, over 7 million Americans are affected by Alzheimer’s, yet many remain undiagnosed or untreated. The partnership seeks to address this issue by embedding blood biomarker testing into clinical decision-making, facilitating earlier identification of patients who may benefit from existing therapies. This initiative is designed to make such testing a standard practice in neurology without adding to the workload of healthcare providers.
Tempus Next, the AI-driven platform, will incorporate LucentAD Complete to provide actionable insights aligned with clinical guidelines. The integration aims to simplify the ordering process through existing electronic health records, thereby reducing barriers for clinicians and enhancing patient care. As noted by Quanterix CEO Everett Cunningham, this collaboration is a significant step toward making Alzheimer’s biomarker testing routine, supporting timely and informed clinical decisions.
