Intu Diagnostics, a startup from Leipzig, has successfully secured €1.1 million in a strategic funding round, bringing its total funding to over €3 million. This financing aims to enhance the company's intellectual property, conduct pilot trials, and prepare for a larger Seed round.

The funding was supported by various investors, including BSV Ventures and the Saxonian Development Bank. Intu Diagnostics is pioneering a "LAB-TO-GO" concept, which seeks to deliver reliable molecular diagnostics directly to patients without the need for traditional laboratory facilities. This approach is designed to make testing more accessible, particularly in home and resource-limited settings.

Founded in 2023 and emerging from the Fraunhofer Society, Intu Diagnostics is focused on developing a decentralized platform for infectious disease testing, with its initial application targeting HPV testing in women's health. The technology promises to adapt across multiple infectious diseases, potentially transforming how diagnostics are conducted outside centralized laboratories.

As the company progresses, the bridge funding will facilitate crucial technical and commercial developments, including intellectual property protection and pilot manufacturing. This positions Intu Diagnostics well for its upcoming Seed financing round, aiming to further revolutionize the landscape of molecular diagnostics.
