
Immunai, an Israeli-founded AI biotech firm, has initiated a collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, focusing on drug discovery for T-cell targets in immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases. This partnership, valued at up to $15 million and extending through 2027, aims to leverage Immunai’s advanced AI platform to analyze extensive patient data for potential therapeutic insights.
The collaboration seeks to integrate research on cancer and autoimmune diseases, which are often studied in isolation despite their shared underlying mechanisms involving T-cell dysfunction. Immunai's proprietary AMICA-OS platform combines single-cell genomic data with AI to facilitate the discovery and development of innovative therapies. Boehringer Ingelheim’s global head of discovery research, Lamine Mbow, noted that this partnership aligns with the company's mission to address significant unmet medical needs in oncology and autoimmune disorders, where treatment options remain limited.
