Immunai, an AI biotech founded in Israel, has announced an expanded collaboration with AstraZeneca focused on oncology, potentially yielding up to $37.5 million over the next two years.
This new agreement extends their multi-year partnership, allowing AstraZeneca to utilize Immunai's AMICA-OS AI operating system. This platform integrates clinical immunology data at a single-cell level with advanced AI models, aimed at enhancing oncology drug development through biomarker discovery, patient stratification, and dose optimization.
This marks the third expansion of their collaboration, following earlier agreements in 2024 and 2025 that focused on applying Immunai's technology to AstraZeneca's oncology programs and inflammatory bowel disease, respectively. Jorge Reis-Filho, AstraZeneca's Chief of AI for Science Innovation, emphasized the company's commitment to leveraging AI for clinical development and improving patient outcomes.
Immunai's CEO, Noam Solomon, highlighted that the deepening partnership is a testament to the effectiveness of their platform in delivering clinically relevant insights. By utilizing single-cell genomics and machine learning, Immunai aims to map the immune system and support therapeutic development, showcasing the growing importance of AI in life sciences.
