IHH Healthcare has partnered with Infosys in a significant seven-year agreement to develop an AI-enhanced ERP platform aimed at streamlining operations across its extensive global network of healthcare facilities.
The new system, leveraging Oracle technology, is designed to unify procurement and supply chain activities, improving operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. With nearly 190 healthcare facilities, including 89 hospitals in 10 countries, IHH Healthcare is one of the largest private healthcare providers globally, employing over 75,000 staff members.
Executives at IHH have emphasized the necessity for a cohesive technology platform to support the organization’s expansive operations. The AI-powered ERP system aims to integrate various data sources, allowing for a standardized overview of purchasing and supply chain functions. This integration is expected to enhance efficiencies in procurement, building on previous successes where IHH reportedly saved around USD 150 million through strategic global contracts.
Linus Tham, the Chief Information Officer at IHH, highlighted the potential for granular data analysis, which could significantly boost consolidation efforts. This initiative not only targets procurement improvements but also sets the stage for broader transformations in business processes across the organization. While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, industry analysts suggest that it could be valued in the hundreds of millions.
This collaboration underscores the increasing importance of digital solutions in healthcare, as organizations seek to leverage technology for enhanced operational effectiveness and cost savings.
