Founded within the BRIC-Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics incubator, Acubiosys focuses on developing evidence-based therapeutics for autoimmune conditions and skin disorders. Their approach combines AI-assisted drug discovery with nanotechnology, aiming to create safer, more targeted treatments for challenging conditions that require ongoing management.
The startup has successfully commercialized two flagship products: BOCUGL, a patented topical treatment for psoriasis and related skin issues, and AZBECO, a specialized formulation for enhancing the healing of chronic wounds, particularly diabetic foot ulcers. Both products adhere to AYUSH regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring quality in their production.
According to founder and CEO Srinivas Maddi, Acubiosys aims to merge advanced technologies with life sciences to provide affordable healthcare solutions for unmet medical needs. The support from the CDFD incubator has been instrumental in facilitating essential preclinical studies, expediting the transition from research to marketable products.
