Guangzhou Kingmed Diagnostics Group recently highlighted the role of digital intelligence in promoting healthcare equality during a keynote address at the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum in Cairo.
Liang Xiaodan, Vice President of Kingmed, discussed the company's innovative approach to addressing disparities in medical resource distribution and diagnostic capabilities through an AI-driven "Medical Diagnostics + AI" model. This initiative aims to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare, particularly in underserved areas.
Kingmed's efforts include the establishment of Guangdong Province's first AI-assisted diagnosis platform and a remote pathology network that connects over 15,000 primary healthcare institutions. This network allows for rapid diagnostic services, enabling expert opinions to be delivered online within 30 minutes. The company operates nearly 500 digital pathology centers, managing over 200,000 cases annually, which underscores its commitment to enhancing diagnostic services across China.
Additionally, Liang presented the "Xiaoyu Doctor," an AI platform designed to assist healthcare providers in remote regions. This tool helps local doctors interpret medical reports, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy. Kingmed's collaboration with Arab countries reflects its dedication to integrating biotechnology and information technologies to bolster public health initiatives globally. Liang expressed optimism about the potential for China and Arab nations to jointly enhance healthcare access and outcomes.
