This expansion allows GENESIS to commercialize Alnylam’s RNAi therapeutics focused on serious cardiomyopathy conditions and rare genetic diseases.
The collaboration, which began in 2019 in Southeast Europe, now encompasses a total of seventeen markets, including countries like Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania. This strategic move aims to enhance patient access to innovative therapies in areas where medical needs remain unmet. Both companies emphasize their commitment to improving healthcare delivery across Europe.
According to Norton Oliveira from Alnylam, this partnership aims to create a significant impact on patient care, while Constantinos Evripides from GENESIS highlights the importance of combining Alnylam’s scientific advancements with their regional expertise to further enhance healthcare solutions.
This partnership not only reflects the growing significance of RNAi therapeutics but also underscores the potential for transformative healthcare solutions in Europe. As RNAi technology continues to evolve, its application in treating genetic and rare diseases may revolutionize patient care, addressing critical gaps in existing treatment options.
