GENESIS Pharma has announced the expansion of its partnership with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals to include four Nordic countries, enhancing access to innovative RNAi therapies.

This strategic move extends their collaboration, which originally began in 2019, to Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, in addition to the existing thirteen Southeastern European markets. GENESIS Pharma will now be responsible for commercializing a range of RNAi therapies targeting severe cardiomyopathy and rare genetic disorders in these new regions.

The partnership has evolved over the years, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing significant unmet medical needs in Europe. Both companies aim to improve patient access to advanced treatments, especially in areas where healthcare options are limited.

According to Norton Oliveira from Alnylam, this expansion signifies their dedication to delivering impactful therapies to more patients globally. Konstantinos Evripidis of GENESIS Pharma emphasized that this milestone underscores their long-standing commitment to enhancing healthcare access in Europe, leveraging their extensive experience in biotechnology.

This partnership not only highlights the growing importance of RNAi therapies in addressing complex health challenges but also demonstrates the potential for biopharmaceutical collaborations to improve patient outcomes across diverse regions.
