Dandelion Health, a clinical intelligence startup based in New York, has successfully secured $14 million in a Series A funding round, led by Healthier Capital. This capital will be instrumental in enhancing its multimodal real-world data (RWD) platform, aimed at optimizing pharmaceutical drug development and clinical trials.

The funding round, announced on May 5, 2026, also saw participation from Colle Capital and returning investors such as Primary Venture Partners, Moxxie Ventures, and Convergent Ventures. Dandelion Health’s platform integrates diverse data types, including clinical notes, medical imaging, and physiological waveforms, from millions of patient records across various health systems. The company aims to address the inefficiencies in clinical trial design, which often lag behind current disease trajectories, leading to prolonged and costly trials.

Recent innovations include the launch of Dandelion’s Clinical AI Marketplace, which allows life sciences companies to utilize validated algorithms alongside its proprietary datasets, significantly speeding up the research process. A notable proof-of-concept study on GLP-1 drug efficacy was completed in just six weeks, showcasing the potential for rapid clinical insights.

As the life sciences sector faces increasing pressure to streamline drug development, Dandelion's approach leverages high-quality longitudinal data, positioning it well within the evolving landscape where regulatory bodies are becoming more receptive to real-world evidence. This funding not only strengthens Dandelion’s capabilities but also highlights its commitment to addressing fundamental challenges in clinical trial methodologies, making it a noteworthy player in the healthcare AI domain.
