Century Health, a health technology firm based in New York, has successfully secured $5 million in Seed funding to enhance its AI-driven initiatives in the life sciences sector.

The funding round, which was oversubscribed, was led by Origin Ventures, with contributions from InnovateHealth Ventures, 25madison, Next Play Ventures, 2048 Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and notable angel investors like Zorba Lieberman. Origin Ventures, established in 1999, specializes in early-stage investments across various sectors, including healthcare and digital consumer technologies, emphasizing the importance of the digital economy.

Century Health plans to allocate the newly raised funds towards expanding collaborations with pharmaceutical and life sciences entities, enhancing its specialty provider data network, and upgrading its AI-based clinical data curation infrastructure. The company focuses on converting unstructured clinical data into actionable, research-ready evidence for life sciences organizations through its proprietary platform, the Century Health Abstraction & Retrieval Model (CHARM).

This funding marks a significant milestone for Century Health, which aims to improve the integration and utilization of fragmented electronic health records. As the demand for efficient data management grows within the healthcare landscape, the company's advancements could play a crucial role in streamlining clinical research and decision-making processes.
