Century Health has successfully raised $5 million in a seed funding round, aiming to enhance its AI-driven platform that boasts an impressive 97% accuracy in clinical data abstraction.
Led by Origin Ventures and supported by several other investors, including InnovateHealth Ventures and 25madison, this funding will enable Century Health to expand its collaborations with pharmaceutical partners and grow its proprietary clinical data network. The company’s AI platform, known as the Century Health Abstraction & Retrieval Model (CHARM), automates the extraction and curation of clinical data, transforming fragmented information into high-quality real-world evidence (RWE) suitable for research and regulatory purposes.
CHARM's 97% accuracy in data abstraction is a significant achievement, especially given the challenges of utilizing unstructured data found in electronic health records (EHRs). The platform addresses the long-standing issues of time and expense associated with manual data curation, thus facilitating faster therapeutic development and improved clinical outcomes.
The surge in AI investment within the life sciences sector has intensified the demand for quality clinical data. As traditional datasets become less viable, Century Health's capabilities to provide structured, real-world clinical records position it as a critical player in the evolving landscape of drug development and clinical research. This funding will further enable Century Health to deepen its impact on healthcare by enhancing data accessibility and reliability for researchers and providers alike.
