Caristo Diagnostics to Highlight New Findings Reinforcing the Science of Its Coronary Inflammation and Plaque Analysis Technologies at SCCT 2026

Caristo Diagnostics is set to present significant advancements in its AI-driven coronary inflammation and plaque analysis technologies at the SCCT 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.

The upcoming conference will showcase findings from the University of Oxford-led ORFAN registry, where three out of six nominated abstracts for the SCCT Young Investigator Award utilize Caristo's technologies. Notably, this includes the application of the Fat Attenuation Index (FAI) Score on non-contrast cardiac CT for the first time, enhancing cardiovascular risk stratification beyond traditional metrics like the coronary calcium score and plaque volume.

Among the highlighted presentations, Kenneth Chan will discuss how FAI-Score quantification improves risk assessment, while Camila V. Blair will explore its prognostic value compared to the PREVENT score. Additionally, Ikboljon Sobirov will present findings on AI's ability to predict long-term cardiovascular events by analyzing both calcified and non-calcified plaques against histological data.

This research adds to Caristo's growing reputation as a leader in AI technologies for cardiovascular health, with the ORFAN study being the largest of its kind aimed at predicting long-term outcomes through advanced imaging biomarkers.
