AstraZeneca is enhancing its collaboration with Immunai, focusing on artificial intelligence for oncology drug development. The expanded partnership could yield up to $37.5 million for Immunai through 2027, underscoring the increasing significance of AI technologies in pharmaceutical research.

This collaboration builds on an existing relationship that began in 2024, with AstraZeneca utilizing Immunai's AMICA-OS platform. This AI-driven system models the human immune system, leveraging one of the largest clinical immunology datasets available. The platform aims to support various aspects of oncology clinical development, including biomarker discovery and patient stratification.

The agreement allows AstraZeneca to further integrate Immunai's technology across its oncology initiatives, particularly in optimizing treatment approaches and analyzing mechanisms of action. Jorge Reis-Filho, AstraZeneca’s Chief of AI for Science Innovation, emphasized the company's commitment to leveraging AI to enhance clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

Immunai's CEO, Noam Solomon, noted that the ongoing partnership reflects confidence in their technology's efficacy. As Immunai continues to evolve, it aims to position itself as a key player in AI-driven biotechnology, focusing on providing infrastructure for pharmaceutical research rather than merely developing drugs.
