Assured, a provider operations platform, has successfully secured $19 million in Series A funding, aiming to revolutionize healthcare credentialing through autonomous AI agents.

Led by Insight Partners, with contributions from First Round Capital and Kindred Ventures, this funding will enhance Assured's capabilities to streamline the labor-intensive process of provider credentialing and payer enrollment. Currently serving over 100 healthcare organizations, including major health systems and digital health providers, Assured's platform significantly reduces the time required for providers to become in-network, achieving a 30% acceleration in the process.

The healthcare sector has long grappled with the slow and cumbersome nature of credentialing, which often leads to lost revenue and delays in patient care. Assured addresses this challenge by utilizing AI to automate the verification of provider data against more than 2,000 primary sources, thereby minimizing manual effort and enhancing efficiency. This shift from traditional systems to an AI-native framework marks a pivotal transformation in healthcare technology.

With its NCQA certification as a Credentials Verification Organization, Assured not only meets stringent quality standards but also facilitates smoother credentialing for health systems under delegated agreements with payers. As Rahul Shivkumar, Co-founder and President of Assured, noted, the platform is designed to enable growth driven by patient demand rather than administrative bottlenecks, signaling a significant evolution in provider operations management.
