A new partnership between Lucent Diagnostics and Tempus AI is set to enhance the integration of blood-based biomarker testing for Alzheimer’s disease into clinical practices.

Lucent Diagnostics, part of Quanterix Corp, has teamed up with Tempus AI Inc to facilitate the use of multi-biomarker panels aimed at improving the accuracy of Alzheimer’s detection. This collaboration will see the development of a care gap program utilizing Tempus Next, an AI-driven platform designed to streamline the testing process for Alzheimer’s patients.

The LucentAD Complete blood test will be accessible for neurologists through Tempus's clinical ordering platform, which is intended to enhance patient access and simplify the testing process. With over 7 million Americans affected by Alzheimer’s, the partnership aims to bridge the gap in treatment eligibility evaluations, ensuring that biomarker testing becomes a standard part of clinical workflows without adding strain on healthcare providers.

Tempus Next will assist clinicians by identifying patients who might benefit from testing based on established guidelines, allowing for a more efficient diagnostic process. This initiative emphasizes the importance of integrating innovative biomarker technologies into everyday clinical decision-making to support timely and effective patient care.

As the healthcare landscape evolves, the integration of AI and biomarker testing into routine practice could significantly enhance early detection and treatment strategies for Alzheimer’s, potentially transforming patient outcomes.
