Ainovis, a Spanish healthtech startup, has secured €680,000 in a recent funding round aimed at enhancing medical imaging diagnostics through generative AI technology.
Founded by Pablo Menéndez, Manuel Cerezo, and Miguel Herencia, Ainovis is focused on alleviating the pressures faced by radiology departments due to increasing demands for imaging studies. Backed by Kunsen Ventures and prominent figures in the medical field, the company aims to integrate AI solutions to support healthcare professionals effectively.
Central to Ainovis’ strategy is the development of Ainovis One, an AI reporting system featuring Carolina, a virtual assistant designed to streamline radiology workflows. This assistant can generate reports, detect inconsistencies, and automate diagnostic requests, thereby enhancing efficiency. Additionally, the company is working on Pablo, an advanced AI model intended to function as a virtual radiology resident, capable of interpreting imaging studies and providing real-time clinical insights.
The funding will facilitate the rollout of Ainovis One and the completion of Pablo’s development, positioning Ainovis as a leader in the application of generative AI in healthcare. The founders believe that such innovations are crucial to addressing the significant bottlenecks in radiology services, ultimately improving patient care and reducing wait times.
This investment not only underscores the potential of AI in transforming healthcare but also highlights the urgent need for technological advancements to meet rising demands in medical imaging, making Ainovis a noteworthy player in this evolving landscape.
